Anti-Gay, Anti-Me

Chick-Fil-A is not the first company, nor will it be the last, to come out as “anti-gay.” But, rather than take our fight up with the people we can’t win over, why not take up the fight with the people that love us? Let them know, “When you support those who are anti-gay, you support people who are anti-me.”

My first video blog can be found here.

  1. I was raised to “love the sinner, hate the sin”. But that’s still hate and, as I tell my daughter, we don’t hate in this house. But as I get older, and gain experience and wisdom in life, I can look back and see that my parents, Sunday School teachers, et al, used that adage as a nice of saying, “Stay away from the gays (or anyone else the Southern Baptists didn’t like)”. Is this the kind of person I want to raise my child to be? To avoid someone because of who they love or what color their skin is or what their beliefs might be? As parents, we hope to imbue our children with more than what we received. I work everyday to teach my daughter to see people for who they are on the inside & nothing else. We are all children of God, He created us all in His image & He makes no mistakes.

As far as politics goes, no government official should have the right to legislate morality. Period. Get out of my house, get out of my bedroom. You people in DC have enough problems to deal with.

    Love ya Molly!

  2. Thank you Molly! I have been sharing your Anti Gay, Anti Me video on Facebook. It’s witty, funny and to the point. I’m totally behind you, sister. We all are.
    Warm regards,
